DRSA Piling Cap Light Power Box

The DRSA Piling Cap Light Power Supply Box puts steady 12V DC power right where your dock lights need it. A sealed IP67 enclosure holds a wet-location LED power supply, so you can mount it outdoors near the dock and keep your low-voltage wire runs short.
Pick the configuration that matches your light count: 22 amps for a smaller dock, 40 amps for a long run, or two 22 amp supplies when you want two separate circuits.
Key features
- Steady power for every cap: constant-voltage 12V DC output, 22A or 40A per supply
- Made to live outdoors: IP67 rated ABS enclosure with a gasketed, hinged cover
- Two layers of protection: the power supply inside carries its own IP65 rating
- Sized to your dock: three configurations from 264W to 528W
- Two zones from one box: the dual-supply option runs two independent 22A circuits
- Room to add controls: space inside for an RGBW controller, connectors, and terminal blocks
- Runs on standard AC: 100-277V AC input
Which piling cap light power box do you need?
Add up the amp draw of your lights, then choose a box that keeps you at 80% of its rating or less. That headroom keeps the supply cool and leaves space to add a few lights later.
| Configuration | 12V output | RGBW caps (0.5A each) | Warm white caps (0.4A each) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small Box, 1 x 22A | 22A, 264W | Up to 35 | Up to 44 |
| Large Box, 1 x 40A | 40A, 480W | Up to 64 | Up to 80 |
| Large Box, 2 x 22A | 44A total, 528W | Up to 70 (35 per circuit) | Up to 88 (44 per circuit) |
Long runs lose voltage, so wire size matters as much as amps. Use our dock lighting calculator for a light count, or call us and we'll size the box and the wire with you.
One 40A supply or two 22A supplies?
One 40A supply is the simple choice when all your lights sit on one run. Two 22A supplies make sense when your dock splits into two legs, when you want the walkway and the pilings on separate switches, or when you'd like half the dock to stay lit if one circuit goes down.
Built for docks and salt air
The enclosure is weatherproof ABS plastic. It won't rust, and the IP67 seal keeps out dust, rain, and washdown spray. The large box measures 15.7" x 11.8" x 7.1". The small box measures 13.8" x 9.8" x 5.9" and has a hinged cover for quick access.
These boxes are built to power our LED piling cap lights, including the white RGBW piling cap and the warm white piling cap. They'll also run other 12V DC dock lighting such as our LED rope light. RGBW caps need a color controller, sold separately, and there's room in the box to mount one.
Installation notes
- Have a licensed electrician connect the AC input on a GFCI-protected circuit.
- Mount the box upright, above the high-water line, and close to the first light.
- Seal every cable entry with a properly sized cable gland.
- Keep total load at 80% of the supply rating or less.
