Warranty Policy

Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. will repair or replace at our option, any DRSA brand light fixture (excluding light source) that is defective for the life of that product. Should an exact replacement be unavailable, a product of similar quality and dimensions will be substituted. Certain exclusions apply (see below). In addition, any other manufacturer’s warranty available will pass to the purchaser.

LED products:

While generally rated to last 30,000 – 50,000 hours, LEDs are susceptible to failure due to variable voltage fluctuations and other electrical anomalies which are not covered under warranty. Daniel R. Smith & Associates, Inc. offers a 2 Year Warranty on DRSA brand LED luminaires, subject to certain exclusions below. Warranty on DRSA LED Marine Utility Lights (i.e. Pacific - 3 Year Warranty and Tri-Proof - 5 Year Warranty) is longer and is noted on the respective product data sheets.

*Special note: DRSA low voltage LEDs are warranted for DC voltage operation unless otherwise indicated*

1. All disposable, one-time use products including, but not limited to, fuses, non-LED bulbs, lamps and certain non-replaceable, disposable lighting fixtures.
2. All special order, non-stock, one-of- a-kind items.
3. Any product that has not been properly maintained.
4. Any product that has been user modified.
5. Any product that has exceeded the rated capacity specified on the fixture or LED documentation.
6. Any product that is used in an application for which it is not intended such as the use of an interior fixture in an exterior application.
7. Improperly installed products.
8. Freight costs and any labor costs associated with warranty items.
9. Unpaid for items such as, but not limited to, samples.

DRSA products are provided on an “as is” basis. DRSA assumes no responsibilities or liabilities for the installation of any product or its proper use. Any problems reported to DRSA will be worked upon on a “best effort” basis. DRSA does not warrant that all reported problems will be resolved. DRSA makes no warranty, expressed or implied, with regard to the on-time delivery, installation or use of any product. All implied Warranties, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby excluded. In no event will DRSA be liable for any lost profits, lost savings, or other consequential, special, or indirect damages, even if DRSA has been advised of the possibility of such losses or damages. In any event, DRSA liability arising out of any kind of legal claim, whether in tort, contract, or otherwise in connection with the purchase, installation or use of a product will not exceed the product’s unit Price paid by the initial purchaser. Purchaser deems acceptance of this warranty and exclusions by purchasing and accepting products from DRSA.

Return Policy

All claims must be made within 5 days of receipt of goods. Special items may require a 50% non-refundable deposit and are not returnable. No returns accepted without an authorized RMA#. Please contact your sales representative for return authorization. Returns must be shipped to the address above. All returns may be subject to a restocking fee. After are items are received, inspected and tested DRSA determines warranty claims, credit amount (if any) and/or if restocking fees apply. You can expect at least a two week period for processing RMA. Credits must be used within 90 days of issue date.

  • Invoice Method
    Upon shipping a customer’s order, DRSA will email invoice to customer.
  • Paying Your Bill
    Please include the invoice number on the check so that payment is posted properly to your account.
    There is a 1.1/2% monthly charge on all past due accounts.
  • Special Orders
    We will gladly accommodate Special Orders for our customers. Special Orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
  • Return Policy
    All returned goods must be accompanied by an RMA# (issued by DRSA) and the original Invoice number of each returned item.
    Please mark the RMA# on the outside of each box. Returns may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • Shipping Options
    We presently use UPS, FedEx, UPS Freight and Yellow Freight. If no preference is declared by a customer, we use UPS Ground.
